Brine that is already at surface
Redwater Project
7,808 hectares over the Redwater Leduc reef complex, 60 km north-east of Edmonton — inside the province’s industrial heartland.
Approximately 650,000 barrels of lithium-bearing brine are produced from the Redwater reef every day as part of existing operations. That brine is handled, measured and disposed of today — which means the lifting cost, the largest cost in most brine projects, is already being carried.
Redwater sits beside Alberta’s Industrial Heartland: pipeline corridors, rail, power and petrochemical processing capacity within an hour of Edmonton.
