NeoLithica holds 269,844 hectares over a 10 Mt LCE inferred lithium resource in Alberta, and brings in proven extraction technology.
— THE THESIS
Everything hard about lithium has already been solved here.
Most lithium projects fight geology, permitting and infrastructure at the same time. In Alberta, the brine is already produced, the wells are already drilled and the regulatory path for subsurface fluids is a century old.
— HOW IT WORKS
Alberta's Devonian reefs hold warm, lithium-bearing brine in porous carbonate. Much of it is already being lifted to surface as a by-product of oil and gas production.
Brine, not hard rock.
Direct lithium extraction strips the lithium from that brine through ion exchange, refines the concentrate to battery-grade lithium carbonate, and returns the spent brine to the a disposal formation. There is no open pit, no crushing circuit, and no evaporation pond.
Schematic only. Brine is produced, stripped of lithium,
and re-injected into a disposal formation. Two projects on the same play.
