About NeoLithica
NeoLithica is a privately held, Calgary-based critical minerals company advancing one of Canada's largest brine-hosted lithium resource positions toward commercial, battery-grade lithium carbonate production. The Company controls 277,652 hectares (1,072 square miles) of 100%-owned brine-hosted mineral tenure in Alberta across two complementary assets: the flagship Peace River Lithium Project and the Redwater Lithium Project.
Our Peace River Project alone encompasses 269,844 hectares (1,042 square miles) of contiguous mineral tenure over the Leduc Formation aquifer in northwest Alberta — a well-understood ancient reef complex with exceptional flow rates and deliverability — and hosts an independent NI 43-101 inferred resource of 10 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent at an average concentration of 70 mg/L, with further upside identified in the overlying Wabamun Formation. Our Redwater Project sits on an active, already-producing oil pool operated by Conifer Energy, with an AER-approved demonstration pilot location site, giving NeoLithica access to a continuous, real-world lithium-bearing brine stream without the capital or multi-year permitting timeline a greenfield facility would require.
Several Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) pilot tests have been conducted, and validated the efficacy of extracting lithium from NeoLithica’s Devonian brines. Geo40's pilot-scale testing on Peace River brine achieved 97% average lithium recovery and produced a battery-grade lithium carbonate sample exceeding 99.9% purity, meeting commercial specifications used by Albemarle and SQM. Candle Lithium's testing on Redwater brine achieved lithium extraction of up to 100% in semi-batch mode and 95.6% in continuous mode. These results give NeoLithica the confidence to scale up pilot operations in early 2027 at pre-commercial levels, with commercial scale up pilot operations commencing in late 2027. Initial production is forecasted in 2028.
NeoLithica's mission is to sustainably produce high-purity, battery-grade lithium carbonate that helps meet the growing demand for locally sourced lithium across the North American critical mineral supply chain. Rather than pursuing a conventional single-build mega-project, we've designed a modular "Hub & Spoke" DLE architecture that targets earlier cash flow and lower capital exposure at any single stage of development than traditional lithium brine projects.
NeoLithica has cultivated active relationships with key federal and provincial institutions, drilling and reservoir engineering specialists, DLE technology providers, and industry partners to advance the Company’s projects.
Combined with our superior mineral tenure, extensive lithium aquifers, and large lithium-brine resource, this places NeoLithica among an elite group of emerging lithium producers poised to continue Alberta's legacy as Canada's leading energy jurisdiction.
